I quit playing wow in March of 2009. I decided I'd like to get back into it before Cataclysm is released, but I'm having an issue with my account name. I stopped playing before battle.net logins were required, so that has all been new to me.
I'm posting from my wife's account that is linked to another battle.net account, so I think I understand the process as we were able to login to see her characters. I've had no luck with my account.
Here is what I've done:
1) used my email address to create a battle.net account
2) I tried to link my WoW account name to my battle.net account, but it said the password didn't match. I don't 100% remember what password I used, so this wasn't surprising. However, I never received the password reset email. I have used it in the past when I forgot my password, so I know it has worked at one point. I turned off all filters in my gmail account and checked the spam inbox as well.
Like I said before, I know I was doing everything correctly as I was able to get my wife's account up and running just fine. I'm not concerned yet, but this seems strange to me.
I sent an email to [email protected], but I am hoping someone else may have some advice in the mean time.
